People and the Land: The Documentary Israel Tried to Block 3

It was made in 1997, but the occupation is always the same. The story alone if you take time to read it is amazing. You'll really like the scenes where the Israelis say how to take care of the "problem". One American holds up a sign saying "transfer all the Arabs to Oklahoma where there's oil" Isn't that a good idea? One Israeli says "Take all the Arabs and put them in Arab countries and make one big Disneyland for them" One Israeli settler says, "As long as the Arabs are peaceful they can stay here". and more.

This film is EXCELLENT and I didn't see anything in it that would make it outdated except maybe some of the specific names. Realy, realy good. I don't know if PBS finally showed it but at the time of the article above they would not. It talks about the American attempt to censor the making too. You know it's good if so many "nice" people didn't want it to be seen at the time. It's really nice of the doc makers to let the IOF have their say on how fair things are (yeah right) and then show the atrocities. [Robin]

The situation is similar to the Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija now under Albanian narco-mafia and NATO occupation.Except Serbs in enclaves surronded by blood thirsty Albanians cannot go outside without armed NATO guard.It is something deep in the human spirit that cannot be,jailed,beaten or killed.The will to resist and survive is stronger than the Israeli will of genocide.I suport any people around the world living under occupation whether it is in a home or a country.Evil now rules this world.

If only the Palestinians could discover a way to utilize Gandhi's tactic of non-violence resistance. If they could realize the validity of the actions of the Civil Rights Movement of the 60s in the U.S. Of the movement of women to get the right to vote in the U.S. as well. I am not saying that they are in the wrong for the fight for rights, they should fight. But the tactics being utilized now are not producing the results of these other movements mentioned so....

its not difficult to see why the Palestinians have a grievance. If I was treated in such a way I would dedicate my life to fighting back. Its also noticeable that the Jews are treating the Palestinians as the Nazis treated them.

This is an excellent video series.
