Maam, i really liked the dress you made. but i have a question. after the neck is done, the neck border looks curvy.. not straight and neat...? why is it so?

when you sew the binding to the neckline where the neckline isn't in a straight line do you cut the binding so that it is the same shape? or do you cut it straight and fit it to the circular line?
it's just that i've been trying to sew a tank top shaped sort of dress and i can't figure out how to bind the sleeves and neckline :/

you make sewing straight seem so easy i can never get it right?

@LottaTroublemaker but to avoid fraying, then you do this whole thing BEFORE you cut your fabric , yes? or what

I always remove the selvage, as it usually shrinks more than the rest. Especially if you use a tumble drier to dry your clothes, this is important. If you wash and tumble dry the fabric before sewing, you will often see this happen and you have to remove it to move on to sewing. Tumble drying before sewing, is great, as you can tumble dry it without any seams getting "ruffled" (remember to use polyester thread)... :)
you don't pin the binding in place? maybe i'm just anal or just a newbie.

You don't have to pin it, though you can if it makes you feel more confident. The pattern encourages not to pin and get used to sewing it straight off.
