@MrLemmy2000 That is soo stupid to say what the hell does being gay have to do with fashion??Total nonsense.

oh god - they whiny sniveling voices of these children - i lived in santa barbara then, and the town was and still is filled with the entitled set. i am a transplant, originally from nyc by way of....minnesota of all places ---- these kids are so full of themselves. how did this happen? yes, their parents had a lot of marital problems, but whose parents didn't then ?? i know too much about this family ----

@OnlyMORMONsGo2Heaven are you one too?

I liked how the other kids are dressed. lance looks like a mess.

@yokie52 - Also Yorkie, you should please acknowledge that 1978 has NO BEARING WHATSOEVER on 1973, even if R. Williams was dressing like Lance then (which he WASN'T!) I was actually there, paying a great deal of attention to fashions throughout the 70s and 80s, were you? 1973: Shag haircuts, platform shoes for guys, glam rock, etc. The early to mid-80s: Lance Loud exactly as he was dressed in this clip. R. Williams in 1970s: just like Grant and Kevin, Williams in 1982? Just like Lance!
-
@yokie52 Um, Yokie, thanks for proving my point. Magnum P.I. was the 1980s, not the 70s! As for Williams, you're flat wrong, you're confusing him with his alien persona on Mork & Mindy, which was NOT SUPPOSED TO REPRESENT THE FASHION REALITY OF THE LATE 70s! There's a clip here on Youtube, Robin Williams, from 1978. Search "robin williams" and "1978" for it. Note the pointy 70s collar, the hairstyle especially, he'd fit right in with Grant & kevin Loud--BUT ABSOLUTELY NOT LANCE!

@MrLemmy2000 also he was in a punk band witch didn't care for the hippie look

Um, Miketheprofessor, if you look at pictures of Robin Williams and many others in the late 70's - Magnum P.I., etc. they all wore the Hawaiin shirts, jeans, sport coats..I'm a gal and I notice fashion.
It's incredible to see how, in this interview shot in '73, everybody's style is so '70s except Lance's. He is already dressed as if he was in the '80s. Always ahead of his time. R.I.P.

@gaykid80 I agree with you, I think he knew alot about newest fashion because he was gay (not that there's anything wrong with that) Still for 1973 he had MTV look witch didn't start til 1980
