I would call your track mainstream in some degree. It is kind of "pop", if you know what I mean. But it is far less affected by the mainstream compared to Skrillex and so many others like him with high pitchs and what not! I really think your track is good, I can really see the potential there, I really can. Im more to the darker side of dub/dubstep, which maybe why I think yours is "pop". Maybe I just mean it is contrary to the gloomy dub-grime I like. :)

I'm just talking in terms of dubstep here. As far as dubstep goes, I personally think it's pretty different. I mean there's no wobbles, formant basses and high pitch squeals.

Anyway, aside from my opinion, you never mentioned what you think of this track. Would you call this very mainstream-influenced?

I do not agree, I am sorry. I think it has a lot in common with some of the mainstream dubstep I have listened to. In fact, I think that dubstep is generally very mainstream. If you take some time and listen to old DUB (not dub step) you would maybe think the same.
