the mayor is a total asshole with no care in the world.. I'm sure if his kids were homeless, he would be dead against this policy. How do u expect people to get out of the shelter if they have to pay to live there?? the idea is to get them out of shelters as quickly as possible. The mayor is rich so he doesnt care about poor ppl. shame on u bloomberg

The shelters were I live will charge you ¼ of your check for the month and then you will pay 2/3 of what is left for saving towards an apartment. What you will have left is for your food and gas to get to work. If you do not work you will have to get out the day you loose your job. NO FREE RENT NOT FREE FOOD. The shelters all have a waiting list and are always full with no private rooms.
