I have always wanted to swim in a waterfall, so on my 25th wedding anniversary I went to twin falls and had one of my dreams come true. It is still as beautiful as when this video was taken, nothing has changed
Pause @ 2:40, that's how I remember looking down from atop a moss covered rock on the edge, scary stuff because there is a pretty small spot below you have to land that's deep enough, otherwise you may land land in 5 ft. of water, bad news. Plus there's a rock that sticks out about half way down you have to clear but not too far or you'll over shoot the deeper water, seriously. I did this jump twice and it takes nerve, don't kid yourself, it's very dangerous..I remember hearing of people dying.
Oh yeah...! Went there almost daily for years... Jumped both waterfalls (and the other ones, as well) as a matter of course... Left the Islands, but NOW going back after 7 years away... STOKED...!!
Lets not forget toTRY and keep these places kinda special ..... I left Maui in 93after 4,5 years ....those days you had all twin falls to yourself.....MAGICAL island .... STILL MISS YOU .........MAUI ;NO KA OI !!!!
Hey, great video compilation of one of my favorite places on Maui. If you want a detailed local review of the place w/lots of info you'll only get from someone that has been there about a hundred times, search "Twin Falls" on my guidebook project at smartmaui webste - they won't let you put a freeking link in the comments - but google smartmaui or just add the d c at the end.

there's a little trail on the right side if you walk up it takes you to the top of the waterfall, where you can jump off. its 45 feet at 1:45
that rope swing one has a big cliff on the right side too but i've never gone up.
