Ricci announced his retirement. He and his family will spend summers at home in Haliburton, Ont., and move to San Jose during the winter.

The San Jose Sharks announced today that the veteran center will officially be an adviser to hockey operations. But in addition to having a role in player development, Ricci also will help out in community relations, promotions and marketing.

My all time favorite Shark! He represented us well. Nice guy and a tough player

4:30 I remember when those Reech Out masks were popularized, the Fox Sports Network Bay Area announcers even commented on them and showed a link to the sharks website where you could print out the mask yourself, thousands of attending fans wore them for a playoff home games vs phoenix. Ricci was a huge impact player on and off the ice, and it's an honor to have him participate in the sharks organization and community after his playing years are behind.

Ricci was my favorite player (along with Yzerman) for the longest time. One of my saddest days was finding out he was traded. Happy he's back with the Sharks organization.

There must be some better quality video of Ricci scoring out there, it looks like VHS tape from the 70's. I love Ricci also, nice try with the vid.

I would hope so :)
At the time I made this I could only work with .avi files I found online. Hopefully someone will take the time to upload better quality vids - I'd like to see the highlight of Reech scoring the hat-trick on free Sharks cap night
