Our first day part 2 in an Edinburgh University Flat

Video showing how 'professionally cleaned' our flat was as stated in the welcome letter.

We have learned our lesson from this. Never rent a flat from Edinburgh University's Accommodation Services ever again, always use emails to contact your landlord otherwise according to them half the conversation never happened, unless in an emergency of course.

We have also learned not to rent flats that are being sub-let, always make sure you are dealing with the owner of the premises.

I stayed in a UofE flat as well, I can't stress enough how much I regret it. They are awful landlords, and as a result of their incompetance I am still ill, four months after leaving. Bad, bad, bad.

This is quite appalling. You should've complained. Where abouts was this, out of curiosity? Maybe they just forgot to clean it before you moved in. I'm living in the Sciennes this year and it was pretty clean when I moved in.
