MTA Long Island Bus 2009 Orion VII NG CNG 1713 on the N22A

After you see the Orion VII HEV and NovaBus RTS-06 pass, you'll see:

NEW Long Island Bus Orion VII Next Generation Compressed Natural Gas bus 1713 was on the N22A at Springfield and Hillside. These buses are new for Long Island Bus. They ordered 60 buses with an optional 40 more. In my opinion, these look better than the hybrid version. The destination signs look like the ones on 2005 Orion VII OG hybrids, but they still look good.

This is one of the most silent buses I've ever seen, with a Cummins ISL G and an Allison B400R.

Yeah those new Orions really are quiet. We have em here in Sacramento only ours have the ZF Transmission which in my opion makes em even quieter. The AC Fan is actually louder than the engine

Excellent vids Chris.....finally Orion Bus Industries came to their senses and made a quieter CNG instead of those loud rattling noise garbage/respiratory breathing problems on the OG CNG's!
