Hey mate, i tried myself with an old cool fan, i connected it to a voltmeter and i spinned the prop but no electricity. The fan is not broken because i connected it to a battery and it works.

How did you do this can I just get a normal CPU fan and then what?

Can you specify exactly which fan did you use? I tryed it with severals fans and it doesn t work.

It's 12cm computer case fan, not all computers has such fans. On that fan is a sticker which says: 12V 0.12A. It might not work for two reasons: wrong LED connecting as it passes current only one direction or too small wind as case fan is not intended for such use, you need quite a strong wind to power even small LED.

It's not light bulb :)
I used only two things: 80mm case fan and LED. Fan already has needed wires and connector.
