My Hope for Peace

The groundbreaking Israeli-Egyptian Peace Treaty was signed on March 26th 1979, a direct result of the Camp David Peace Accords, brokered by Jimmy Carter between Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin and Egyptian President Anwar Sadat. This treaty made Egypt the first Arab country to recognize Israel and the peace between the two nations has lasted to this day.
