It was great to hear her talk with an accent close to mine.

she deserved an oscar for this. not one actor was capable of good regional accents or modern comedic skills back then and they snubbed her.
and the classist hollywood tradition lives on today.

Marilyn said so. u can google it and find out.

No she was'nt. She asked them to lighten Hope's hair because it would distract from her own. She was conscience of her image. No matter what color Hope's face was, she could never have been as beautiful or finely figured as Marilyn.

Marilyn ordered that Hope Lange's natural blonde hair be darkened for the film, and she did the same for an actress in Let's Make Love. I don't think it was jealousy of Hope in particular, Marilyn was very insecure and also very mindful of her image.

does anyone have a copy of the Bus Stop play that was on HBO with Tim Matheson and Margot Kidder, maybe in the late 70's early 80's. I actually got to see that before I saw the Monroe/Murray version. I liked them both.
peace
i love marilyn monroe! because she wasn't perfect, infact she had alot of problems, but even though she had a hard childhood, and was scared of becoming mad, she still tried her hardest to fullfil her dreams! i admire that

Misfits was the best movie she was in. It was the closest to her real life. The character shared almost the same life as hers. She was sad but strong. She hated animal abuse and the character just seemed to be her. I wish she would have lived. People love Elizabeth Taylor but she can't hold a candle to Marilyn. RIP Norma Jean. You are still loved as much as when you was alive
