If I do all these things, but have not love, I gain nothing....But the greatest of these is love.

@Fuzkeren1 He's just like any other songwriter... he writes what he feels, he just happens to use alot of amazing stories and references from the bible and other old myths and stories. If you are looking for christian music that is heavy check out Oh Sleeper!

@xPARADOXASAURx Alright, i'll check it out :) I like Deadbolt!

@Fuzkeren1 Well, yeah. I was sure they weren't a christian band. (i wouldn't be interested. lol) I don't read the bible, someone just posted the verse it was from, and its eerily similar. haha. I like the poetry, the play on words, and clever metaphors. try their older stuff. It's much harder and theres still a lot of die-hards for em that way too. lol. Artist in the Ambulance is a good one.

@xPARADOXASAURx Heh, they're way too soft for my taste ^^ But just FYI, it's actually not everyone in Thrice who's religious, and they've said themselves that they're not a Christian band, but Dustin, who writes all the lyrics is a Christian, hence the Christian lyrics.. But i haven't read the Corinthian verse, so you're probably right :)

@Fuzkeren1 :O not into thrice?! impossible. lol. i know. I love this song, and i didn't learn how religious they were until after this album. It makes total sense outside a reverent context (why i loved it in the first place). but i just thought I'd share what I learned. Impressive how they really seem to capture an 'Earth' element on this disk too. eh? I'll make a fan out of you, yet!

@xPARADOXASAURx Ah, i see. I'm not into Thrice at all, i just like this song, so i really know nothing about the band. The song makes perfect sense outside of religious context too though :)

@lovnlivnlife sweet thinkin on pickin out that verse. Did someone tell you about it or did you recognize it?
-
@Fuzkeren1 I think its a reference to the Corinthian verse. Thrice is a very religious group and they've exemplified that in the Alchemy Index especially. I feel like he's saying you can always do more in your worship. Not a religious fellow myself. But that's def what he's talkin about. No doubt.
Some parts of the lyrics are incorrect, and believe me, I wish I could do something about it! I hope you enoy this amazing song anyways :)
