I should probably delete this video, considering this computer is long gone, but I'll post this here as a note:

The PCI audio card that was in this computer failed, hence the misdiagnosis as a dead BIOS chip.

  • @ishraqq I had Windows 95, 98, NT 4, 2000 and XP on this. Not simultaneously, of course, but all of those were running on this at one point or another.

  • @MixerVM I can't tell for sure, but I'm pretty sure it was the PCI sound card. Because I tried that in the eMachines, Shuttle and my dad's Dell Dimension 5150. None booted with the card. All booted after removing the card.

  • @TheGeek1028 Unless, of course, it was the CIH virus. That would have corrupted the BIOS
