I have an ASUS U41SV.
I set the default audio output to 24bit/192kHz.
You can try it and will find ASUS sonic focus is non-functioning.
I bet ASUS lowered the audio output quality other than 24bit/192kHz.
And use ASUS sonic focus to BOOST the quality.

Dude can i ask something... do you know how to enable asus sonic focus on Asus k43u-vx012 coz i have the software installed but it's not working... it say's that i should enable it at sound properties but when i went to Sound Prop... there is no button or something to enable this... hope anyone have ideas... thanks...

@dravensqual30 try reinstalling it. Asus utilities are crap, to be honest. For instance, login with webcam stopped working after a month out of nothing. That's why I no longer use any of Asus utilities.
