Nic Cage Sells his Comic Book for MILLIONS?! Hey there movie buffs, Tatiana carrier here with the latest on mister Nicolas cage!
.
According to the Hollywood reporter, Nicolas Cage's nearly-pristine copy of Action Comics No. 1 featuring the first appearance of Superman sold for a record $2,161,000 in an online auctionthat ended Wednesday.
.
If your thinking this is A LOT OF MONEY for a comic, your ABSOLUITALY RIGHT!!!! It is the first comic to sell for more than $2 million at auction. The previous record was $1.5 million for a less well-preserved copy of Action Comics No. 1 sold in March 2010.
.
Another crazy story about Cage's comic --- it was stolen from his home in 2000 and only recovered in April when an unidentified man bought the contents of an abandoned Southern California storage locker. TALK ABOUT CRAZY!!!
.
So why all the fuss, well Approximately 100 copies of Action Comics No. 1 remain in existence...and Experts believe only about five others, all in private hands, are of near-equal quality to Cage's copy and only one -- the legendary "Edgar Church Collection" copy, which has never been publicly viewed -- might exceed it.
.
So I know that there are some comic collectors out there!!! Time to sound off and BRAG! Who has the coolest comic out there and why! Let us know by commenting below and while your at it, subscribe to clevver movies your number one source for movie news!

  • Oh I mean it IS my dad's.

  • I have Spiderman #1 - #50 in a book.

    THE ORIGINALS...

It was my dad's, not mine.

  • @Makrozon your gay

  • Broke ass ghost rider.

  • Wow, he really does need money!

  • But it's about Superman, the gayest character ever. OK, maybe Spiderman is a little gayer.

  • @Seanerrr The guy who bought the storage unit was obligated by law to return the comic book as it was stolen property and he had no rights to it.

  • @BoooRatt His first appearance in any comic book was his own book titled "Captain America Comics" and was published by then Marvel predecessor Timely Comics and the first issue was March 1941. That was still prior to Pearl Harbor which came on Dec. 7, 1941.

  • I have the first spiderman comic printed in french
