Haha, it's definitely the real deal! In my defense, I wrote the question after getting my first USB device and not really knowing what to do with it. I also figured it out a short time after sending in the question by fiddling around with my PC.
Not that I mind since my question got answered!

Woah, didn't expect to have the man himself reply to the video! This is awesome.
I was just starting high school back when I was introduced to the show, it triggered a love of computers and technology in me that I'll harbor for the rest of my life. I'm glad to see your still around doing your thing. Thanks for the wonderful memories!
I also have the rest of that episode on tape (and I think part of the Call-For-Help-athon). I'll try to upload 'em sometime. :)
