Delgado was a bit too far ahead of his time. Here are links to his published papers which I spent much time finding. I actually had to contact the agencies he worked with in Madrid, Yale, and a few USA Army bases in New Mexico.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1167891/pdf/janat00219-0119.pdf - "Embryological changes induced by weak, extremely low frequency
electromagnetic fields." Circa 1981.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2599161/pdf/yjbm00330-0001.pdf "Permanent Implantation of Multilead Electrodes into the Brain." A sort of a how-to guide from Yale. Contains a few graphic images, as do most of his papers, and its not as complicated a procedure as I thought at first: He actually uses vacuum tube sockets.
http://www.dtic.mil/cgi-bin/GetTRDoc?AD=AD0124442&Location=U2&doc=Get... "Evoking Conditioned Fear via Electrical Stimulation in the Brains of Monkeys." A recently declassified US Armed Forces research document from a military base in Ohio. Delgado gained a reputation for not following the stimulus-response (SR) technique, and in stead actually proved he could evoke real emotions with electrical currents inside the skull. He was fascinated particularly with rage, fear, agression, and all but general happiness.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2603403/pdf/yjbm00310-0082.pdf "MOTOR REPRESENTATION IN THE FRONTAL SULCI OF THE CAT" This is from the beginning of his career at Yale. He eventually moved on to dogs, monkeys, and even humans, which he cites as having "emotional disturbances." Many conspiracy theorists say his electrodes were microscopic, and then claim that he implanted innocent people. Actually, the electrodes had a reputation of being very large, and he even states that the implanted circuit used in humans weighed as much as 70 grams. To be fair, the circuit board was often in the chest, with wires leading up and into the skull.

http://www.dtic.mil/cgi-bin/GetTRDoc?AD=AD0096319&Location=U2&doc=Get... "Evaluation of Cortical Electrode Implants" Again, another recently declassified research paper from a military base in Iowa. I have come across a few papers where he requests upwards of eight thousand dollars (and plenty of test monkeys) for research grants.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2603391/pdf/yjbm00310-0070.pdf "ELECTRICAL ACTIVITY AFTER STIMULATION AND ELECTROCOAGULATION
OF THE HUMAN FRONTAL LOBE" Here is an example of a test conducted at Yale which used the famous "Stimoceiver", so named because it receives an impulse via radio control to deliver trains of electrical pulses. It also picks up the natural activity of the human brain and transmits it to a sensing station at a computer. It was this setup that formed the first direct connection between a human brain and a computer: When the amygdala showed electrical activity, an inhibitory center was stimulated. The amygdala controls agression. Ie, when the animal (actually a human) became dysgruntled or agressive, the sensor would detect it and deliver a train of pulses to make it literally impossible to feel anger. He was praised as creator of a solution to lobotomy.

http://www.dtic.mil/cgi-bin/GetTRDoc?AD=AD0696102&Location=U2&doc=Get... "UHF STIMULATION SYSTEM" This was published and recently declassified by the 6571st Aeromedical Research Laboratory in Holloman Air Force Base, NM. They took great interests in his work, and actually stated that their objectives were to determine how an individual behaves in a group. They were setting out to study mob psychology.

The last is the most important of all, his book, "Physical Control of the Mind", which is an amazingly unsettling read by itself. Be warned, its hard to find a copy written by Delgado himself, and a Google search only results in hearing a crazy conspiracy theorist ranting about how everyone has "been chipped", as well as other unrealistic lies. An excellent read: http://digitallibrary.amnh.org/dspace/bitstream/2246/5996/1/1965.pdf

  • @iceman0886 Nice that you were considerate enough to google his book. But that qoute (he supposedly said it in front of Congress, right?) is misguided. All these sentences are jumbled up. One is from one chapter, the other from the index, and then mixed with a few words from the appendix and its application to epileptic patients for good measure. They are so out of context: He was warning that in the distant future, the risks may be too great. He compared this scenario to "a nuclear holocaust."

  • These are his words, this guy is a mother fucking power maniac and a psychopath.

"The individual may think that the most important reality is his own existence, but this is only his personal point of view. This lacks historical perspective. Man does not have the right to develop his own mind. This kind of liberal orientation has great appeal. We must electronically control the brain. Someday armies and generals will be controlled by electric stimulation of the brain."

  • @Foodisgood I rsccomend you check out his book. It's just amazing. Creepy, bonechilling, just indescribable.

  • Fascinating.
