Luek, dressage star & movie stunt horse

Yesterday I met Luek, Kristi Ullman's handsome new superstar. (Kristi also owns Duek, Antonio Banderas's mount in The Mask of Zorro.) Luek is a ten-year-old Azteca (half Andalusian, half Quarter Horse). He remained a stallion until just last year (as his gorgeous build clearly suggests). Here, we play with lateral work at both trot canter, a single flying change, and one medium trot lengthening, gently getting to know each other, and experimenting with each other's sense of rhythm and harmony. Thanks Kristi for allowing me the honor of dancing with your new man! Thanks also to Kimberley for capturing the moment, and to Ottmar Liebert for his beautiful music.
