  • What about the fact that the USA was arming and supporting Pol Pot during his genocidal reign and after? The Khmer Rouge even had a seat in the U.N. Remember it was the Vietnam People's Army who put a stop to this butcher and exposed his crimes.

  • @huntseateq USA b52 bombers + use of lethal dioxins (agent orange) +death squads destroyed millions of lives+livelihoods in Vietnam,Laos+Cambodia.EVIL policies that drove survivors to extremes.Witness Iraq,Afghanistan Any elite class that were classed as collaborators were detested +eliminated. 2 wrongs don't make a right. we know ! Propaganda is not just about lies ! Its also about the crimes you commit and cynically omit . We know what crocodile tears are about?some do !

  • Perhaps capitalism put him in power but it did not orchestrate the killing fields. That atrocity needed a human hand.

  • @huntseateq Not true as I said he did not cause the deaths, capitalism did.

  • @MaoistLeninistMarx Seriously? Over 2 million people dead; I would think that is a little beyond harsh. I'm not sure where you are getting your information from. Pol Pot cared only about his precious ideals & didn't care how many people had to go to their graves to achieve his utopia.

  • @huntseateq What I mean is that he is criticized for killing people who did not want to go back to the farms. He had to be harsh or the famine would continue, if he did not threaten them with death with would they go back to the farms?

  • @MaoistLeninistMarx He is not criticized for that mainly. He is criticized for causing the deaths of over 2 million of his countrymen. They did not all die of starvation...many (who really knows the total count) were executed. Are you trying to say that Pol Pot did not order the Khmer Rouge to execute Khmers?

  • @huntseateq USA bombing of the Ho Chi Minh trail forced many Cambodians to abandon their farms and move to the cities. this cause a lack of food, leading to the famine. The conservative pro-usa government there was getting food aid, but they were mismanaging that aid, so many people died. Pol Pot came to power after the revolution, he forced people to the farms to try and end the famine, he is criticized for this manly.

  • @MaoistLeninistMarx Do you really believe that? It is unfathomable to me that will all of the records and firsthand accounts that are now available of the genocide, that you could actually believe what you are saying. I'm not denying that the US played a dark role (most probably out of ignorance since no one outside of Cambodia seemed to really know what was happening; Pol Pot was known to be very eloquent & seemingly civilized) but they did not CAUSE the problem.
