There is a difference between a warrior and a killer.

I understand that the Aztecs were in a peaceful period under Montezuma2. They were not colonialists and treated their conquered neighbors well and restored the leaders and looked for mutual happiness. The rich prospered, the middle did better than they had been doing, but of course the poor had to work harder.

@mstech89 Ah, no I'm not. I've not even heard of that song; White guilt is simply a term used to describe white people who feel guilty about bad things their ancestors did to other people which usually leads to ridiculous overcompensation such as the asinine lyrics to this song.

@GreatDarkSpot I really hope you're not comparing the 2006 Bronx song "White Guilt" to this 1975 classic.

Like Dorothy, clicking her heels, use your imagination, if you haven't, as you listen to the song.
If that doesn't work, I suggest a beach, south of Santa Monica, this July or August, with a boombox. I did in 2010. I returned to my old place (Kailua) in the 90's, but it was all changed, just as all the islands have, overpopulated, and all the old inland falls/ swimming holes are tourist attractions, with the dirt paths paved, and hand rails on either side.

Yes, it was a 'beautiful,' time and still and will forever be a beautiful memory.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Peace.

(Very creative and ballsy username. I like it. It strikes me of strong individualism.
Very cool.)

Previous comments make me respopnd as a proud American who is not proud of our mistakes. I would say about our modern era...hate is all upon us, war is always known, and the people won't work together to lift a single stone.
Had a beach front house near the town of Kailua, near the Marine Corps base when this album was released in'75.
3 great guys shared the rent and some of the worlds finest drugs with me as we often set my Kenwood speakers on the back deck and blared the music toward the ocean, lying on the beach, the loudness of the music in competition with the crashing waves.
I still hear the sounds and feel the heat, with a constant breeze.
Who could have known what was to come?
Peace.

Quite possibly the greatest piece of music ever put out there. Spare me the bullshit responses. My opinion only but this song had everything.
