  • @TupacX2Pak what are you talking about? There's oval racing in almost every country. Either way just because people don't like oval racing doesn't mean they have to insult it. I remember Senna put it perfectly. "If you insult any kind of racing then you're probably not a real racing fan".

  • @erasetoimprove Yes oval racing takes so much skill. No wonder it's only Americans who do it since they're so shit at anything else. Go around a round about for half an hour and you're a pro.

  • @salemcripple continued: They again pale in comparison to F1, which is top of the food chain. NASCAR uses technology that was outdated 20 years ago, F1 uses technology that most air forces would be proud to have. Acceleration/Deceleration specs, cornering G forces, downforce specs. All are MUCH greater in F1. The skill it takes just to get an F1 around the track (let alone driving it competitively) is immense. I could go on for days about this.

  • @erasetoimprove Oh any kind of racing takes skill, i'll give you that! But A: it's boring to watch cars go around in a plain circle for hours on end, no matter how much passing is in it. And B: the amount of skill it takes pales in comparison to ANY kind of road (technical track) racing. Also, the specs of NASCAR cars (for example) ARE impressive,

  • @salemcripple the whole "anti-oval" movement is dumb. Oval racing takes just as much skill as road racing... just in different aspects. Besides, anything is better than an F1 race.

  • @SIMIHIGH2008 would be even better if it wasn't an oval

  • I attended a Busch race at Pikes Peak in 2002. Wasn't that great of a race but the track has had some good races in the past.

  • Pikes Peak is very much alive. It just changed owners and is booking events. There was ZERO demolition in the years it was closed. It just collected dust.

  • Track was demolished in 2006.

  • this would be a fun track to race in those cars
