Believe in God? The monk said the name God I counted over a dozen times, so yes, they believe in God. The man using the "T" was practicing a meditation technique to further his awareness OF God.

Please listen again, the monk tells you that knowing God in a more deep way requires inner stillness, deeper prayer and LISTENING, vs always telling or asking or yelling to God. He can't get a word in edge wise that way:) The grounds he mentions offer a haven from the restlessness that we all live in.

Hes practicing the technique of listening for the Aum vibration, which is the Holy Ghost spoken of by Christ. It can be heard spontaneously if you go deep enough in meditation, and eventually by absorbing the attention into it the person experiences oneness with God's omnipresence in all creation. This is what Yogananda called the real second coming of Christ; in people's own enlightened consciousness, not as a physical person come back again.

Through doubt and questioning (much like DeCartes) I came to realize certain truths about Myself and of humanity. After a long period of introspection and philosophizing as an older youth, I found that the SRF/Yogananda truly was in accord (more so) with what I knew in My heart to be TRUE. No longer was I "rolling My eyes".

I was raised Baptist. Much of the influence My young mind received was truly hellfire christian, the rest that I was spoon-fed was nice, loving Christ to his believers.

I spent the majority of My youth engorged in the bible personally. I learned the difference between old-school god rules from the Christ.

The Self Realization church has been the ONLY truth that has spoke and moved Me....(read on)

I pray (when I do pray), hope, I mediate on this sort of peace, even the peace seen behind the speaker. I fail oftentimes, because I am bad at balance and at quieting the mind. Only I am to blame, because the SSRF is so close, it's merely a walk away.

Good surfing there at Swamis beach. The police pig state is always there to police the small city park. Then again, California is a police state. The self-realization fellowship is a nice place and the gardens are beautiful. It's one of my favorite beaches. I've felt the presence of Paramhansa Yoganada while at the beach down below the gardens. It's a very humble love. The feeling will knock you to your knees. I felt my brother, Yogananda around me twice on my first two visits. 3rd time no.
