Color matters because that is the reality/beauty of living in NYC - you're surrounded by people who don't look like you or dress like you, but who have shared experiences. Seeing that properly represented helps drive home the idea, and the actuality, that we have more in common. My comment was to the person who said that adding a person of color would be awkward because color doesn't fit in with what the show was about. That kind of thinking is why it's so necessary for people to SEE otherwise.

If it's universal, then why does 'color' matter? Or sex, for that matter? I'm a man, yet I still relate to these characters, most of whom are women. Men make up 50% of the population, but not fifty percent of the cast. Doesn't mean it's unrelatable.

I know I'm late but PLEASE release behind the scenes footage of Marnie at the wedding! The fact that "pussy be yanking" was the first song played had me laughing so much I was crying. And then...

I saw Marnie shutting it down at the wedding with those dance moves! That was so out of left field I have no words, other than I watch the scene each day to get a good laugh. haha.
