it's originally a greek song. Dick Dale, being a lebanese-american, heard it a lot and then created his famous surf-rock version.

All three of you are kind of right. This was originally a Greek song. Dick Dale made it famous in the 60s when he did a surf-rock cover of it. These guys on the other hand are playing it in the style of klezmer, a kind of Jewish music.

This song sounds amazing no matter what genre it's presented as..

if you like this music style you should try a finnish band named Alamaailman Vasarat, or a mexican one named Klezmerson

This sounds great, the only problem is the audience is just sitting there, well maybe they just didn't feel like dancing that night, or it wasn't practical for those certain individuals to express themselves that way, or somehow in that circumstance it seemed inappropriate, I believe anytime there is any musical performance, even orchestral performances like Beethoven or Stravinsky, that there should be areas reserved for dance and movement, even if only one person wants to dance.

Oy vey! What wonderful Mishegoss! I downloaded their album "Oy to the World" which is a Klezmer-esque Christmas album. Awesome.

Klezmer embraces many styles of music from Eastern European/Romanian, Grecko-Turkish to even South American. Our repertoire, whilst MAINLY Klezmer includes some of our own arrangements & things that might be described as "Klezmer-esque!!"
Regardless of where it came from we hope you enjoyed listening.
