my ex started getting an anxious feeling wednesday or thursday but we live in CA so he thought it was something going to hit here like an earthquake. He stocked up on canned goods and filled water bottles. On Friday evening, I get the call from my mom that our house (just purchsed 6/2009) was seriously hit. It is about 5-7 minutes from airport. Fire marshall has condemned it. I lived in Ferguson from 7/2004-5/2007. I spent more time cleaning up from storms than I did actually enjoying th home.
I work late at night and am never home on Friday nights. Thursday I told a friend a tornado was going to strike my hometown of St. Louis (i grew up near Ferguson); I didn't know why I thought so but I did. I came home early Friday and began following the Weather Channel. When I heard the words "Maryland Heights" and "Ferguson" I began crying, something I seldom do, because I just wilted at the thought towns I loved were in trouble. I am so happy no one died; bless the forecasters.
