@AzraelNY Dude really? lol its a Star wars blaster no where near illegal. I know people who live in NY they have Airsoft guns that actually look like guns and they dont get in trouble.

Just bought one of these today for $16! Love the blaster sound. Too bad the grip was designed with kids in mind. Planing on doing the same thing. I've had some practice with a few other guns in the past; I find the Krylon Fusion black work the best, even for just a base so you don't have too many coats going on. Sparring with the Rub-N-Buff

Very nice paint job dude!

i did somewhat the same to mine, although i hand painted everything, just used generic plastic model paints i had laying around, i gotta get some more paint and do another coat.
yours looks great though, good idea with the lenses, i would have bought the E-11 as well but the rotating sounds they had sucked. good luck in future projects

it looks like the maste rreplicas
just wanted to ask... isn't this very very illegal? At least it is in New york... I guess you could argue its not "real" looking... but in the dark it probably looks real enough. Just saying its a felony with 3 years in my state

@AzraelNY New York is one of those states us gun owners refer to as a communist state. There gun laws are unbelievable, so I wouldnt be surprised if this was illegal there. Its because of states with laws like this also that you see the 501st not being able to carry their blasters during events. You probably wouldnt have anything to worry about with a project like this up there unless you plan on running around outside with it. Sry if this reply sounds harsh... Thats not my intention. MTFBWY

@XShadowX9313 to cover the vents i just used the blue painters tape. I showed what paint I used at the end of the video. its a really easy project to do

Dude, that looks pretty sick. I hate the new way Hasbro paints their blasters. Thanks to you, I just found my weekend project. Quick question: is that Rust-Oleum the flat black or the gloss black? Also, what were you going to use for the weathered effect?
llamax1138 1 year ago
@llamax1138 its a semi gloss. For the weathering effect just take a really light sand paper and gently sand the parts you want to have the effect on. That way the gray undercoat shows through. Theres other ways to do it but thats the way I prefer
