@skagnboneman322 Our work standards and productivity is at the very pinnacle of manufacturing. We are one of the few Military contractors that have lowered costs without compromising quality.you see ,we don't see what we build as just a product for a customer. We know that our national defence as well as the lives of the crew depends on it!
I work at EB and we do know what we are building, many of the employees are former Navy. Not only do we know what we are building many of us have operated the systems.Who do you think builds them? unskilled labor?
As far as costs goes, you are also incorrect. With each Submarine built we,lower cost, improve quality, and shorten delivery time. All the time maintaining one of the highest safety standards in any industry. Our workforce is a very specialized and unique, with the best craftsmen in the world
That looked like mmcs (ss) Brown as COW....aka senior chief God...I served with him onboard the alabama 731 blue crew early 90's...he's also in the blue jacket manual as COW
Yes, EB (Electric Boat) is the founding unit and parent company to GD (General Dynamics) but has this company ever told the truth in regards to their history? No, I'm concerned that they have not!Company has been known to be "steeped in scandal's" since its inception as Electric Boat - as corrupt financiers/acumen such as Isaac L. Rice conspired to overrun the company and monopolize it through ill-gotten gains. See: The Defender. Company's success began with J. P. Holland and Arthur L. Busch...
the next generation of submarines will be in the multi-trillions, but will ensure the freedom of our great nation. I'll have the electronics manufactured and designed in Ohio, just to say thanks. And there is no reason for the public, or the factory workers, to know what they are building.
I used to work for Electric Boat from 1981-85. I worked on some of the tridents and 688 Los Angeles class subs. This brings back memories. Thank you for the posting.
