Creating a Safe Haven Sanctuary to which those with sufficient insight to embrace the opportunity might escape a world that is hurtling towards extreme and prolonged multi-nation conflict, social, political and financial chaos.

For a full understanding of the potential represented here also view Part B.

Overview
In 1967 two brothers who were born to farmers in Switzerland migrated to New Zealand and decided to pool their savings and purchase the more than 8,400 acre Waitangi West Peninsular of the then sparsely populated Chatham Islands, which lie approximately 700 kilometers from the mainland's eastern seaboard.

They then set about establishing the largest fleece sheep station in the region and eventually - without any financial encumbrance to the property - had a flock of over 10,000 animals.

Over the following years many others discovered the beauty, abundance and tranquility of these enchanting islands and the close knit little community that thrives there today was the result.

The brothers operated a very successful and profitable sheep farming business (adopting a completely organic approach) for the following 45 years, but due to the invention of synthetics the global wool market prices began to plummet. That combined with increasing production costs made wool farming a far less attractive proposition, and as they had no desire to embrace a new challenge at their age they decided it is time to retire.

They reasoned that the sensible approach to that end is for them to move to a smaller holding and, although not relinquishing entirely the bounty that mother nature has showered upon them for almost 5 decades, to pass the enormous potential to exploit that and the advent of the highly lucrative Carbon Trading Scheme - recently initiated by the NZ government - to others who are sufficiently astute to take full advantage of it all.

Although there are other options, some of which are presented in Part B and Part C,, this introduction gives an example of the massive potential that exists for an eco-friendly development of a small intimate, almost totally self-reliant and sustaining, yet also highly lucrative Select Membership Alternative Lifestyle island community.

A once in a lifetime opportunity for say 20 to 30 like minded and capable families who share a common passionate desire to create their very own Safe Haven Utopia to which they can escape a world that is becoming increasingly less hospitable.

But the options certainly don't end there.

After viewing all three videos presented here it will go without saying that property acquisition opportunities of this caliber and with such enormous potential are virtually extinct in this day and age. As such he who procrastinates will simply miss out.

  • @rclark23 Uhhhggg!!! Another zombie American with his head up his arse. Perhaps you should consider using a deodorant..

  • Who does the speaking in this video? Is it not Jack Fresco?Venus Project. Sounds like him; which is nothing entirely bad at all unless your paranoid that controling governments would exploit this as a potential proson society. As long as controlling banks and corperatized faciast governments stay out of it; I would join. What are the dooms day protection plans? How deep would my plot of land go? Are there solid rock areas I could get? How far above sea level is this?

  • @Goliathgage88 (3) Members will be at liberty to make their own 'doomsday' preparations on their own lot allocation if they consider it to be something they would like to do. Take the time to go over all available information at the waitangi-west(dot)com website. There is potential for self funding ‘retirement and special interest village’ development among many other options. Take it al in then make direct contact to proceed.

    Regards

    Pluto

  • @Goliathgage88 (2) The tourism aspect will be 'self funding' (see waitangi-west(dot)com website for details). Each member will be allocated a private 125 acre portion of the property (they choose the lot in order of application approval; the next available slot is #8) with which they may do as they choose. All residential and other development will be at least 50 metres above sea level. The substrata is made up of cobalt. The topsoil depth varies, but is estimated to be 20 feet maximum.

  • @Goliathgage88 (1) Thanks for your note. No, this project has nothing at all to do with the Venus Project. The narrator is a staff member at the project director's office. The NZ gov’nt will have no involvement other than to provide the NZU's after the tree seedlings have been planted. They will then belong to the co-operative who will have total control. There will be no bank or corporate involvement; the co-operative will own the project outright and the members will own the co-operative.

  • Great idea, sadly the people with the amount of money needed to do this would most likely be the type of people that have got the world in the mess it is in now. We have words for them in England but I reckon you all get my meaning.

  • Great idea, I have often imagined myself within an intentional community where everyone is working toward a common goal and is ruled by one inherent law, the law of love....It looks beautiful,
