PENTRU PATRIE (1977)

Pentru patrie se inscrie perfect in galeria de filme istorice regizate de Sergiu Nicolaescu. Acesta si-a ales perfect unul dintre momentele memorabile ale istoriei Romaniei -- Razboiul de Independenta. Ca in toate filmele sale istorice, regizorul ofera o imagine excelent documentata si o personificare perfecta a figurilor istoriei neamului. Cu Sergiu Nicolaescu in rolul lui Carol I (personaj pe care il va relua peste ani), Amza Pellea in rolul generalului Cernat si George Constantin in rolul lui Mihail Kogalniceanu, filmul trebuie sa se regaseasca obligatoriu in filmoteca oricarui pasionat de filme istorice „marca" Sergiu Nicolaescu.

@vitjoki91 - Yes, we call it INDEPENDENCE. You're right, without the Russo-Turkish war, we weren't independent in 1878. It was OUR chance that your ancestor wanted to push the Turks below the Danube River on the base of an old Russian wish to conquer Constantinople even. WE took advantage of the situation. If it wouldn't have been 1877, than would have been 1908, together with our neighbors, the Bulgarians. Turks & Russians should stay at their homes, anyway. Than and now.
