Volvo Cars has been testing their C30 Electric In temperatures down to -33°C. Even though extreme cold can be a particular challenge for electric cars, the Volvo C30 Electric has no problems coping with the climate.

  • -33°C is extreme? More like normal winter temperature for Ukraine.

  • where exactly in the artic is this tested?

  • the only problem, which was not addressed in this video, probably which would be important is the fact that the car batter would have to be kept at a warm temperature 24/7 to be able to run on the go whenever the driver wants. This means that there will be a lot of wasted energy just keeping the batteries warm when it is not being used (ex. at night).
