Volvo Cars has been testing their C30 Electric In temperatures down to -33°C. Even though extreme cold can be a particular challenge for electric cars, the Volvo C30 Electric has no problems coping with the climate.
the only problem, which was not addressed in this video, probably which would be important is the fact that the car batter would have to be kept at a warm temperature 24/7 to be able to run on the go whenever the driver wants. This means that there will be a lot of wasted energy just keeping the batteries warm when it is not being used (ex. at night).
