@adamef93 Really, Phil Rudd over Kenney Jones? I'd personally rank them as this (Who drummers only): Moon, Starkey, Jones, Philips.
Simon Philips is not a bad drummer at all, but his overall vibe in the Tommy tour was totally wrong for the band and made them sound like washed-up geezers going through the worst part of the '80s. They sound better in their 60s than they did in their 40s, IMO.

Yeah, Keith gave them that raw edge that they'd always tried to get on record, but could only truly reproduce live. Jones did his best, but Keith was a unique drummer who put fills in places no one else would think of.

Keith was the best drummer for the Who. I've seen them several times the last 10 years and Zak Starkey is pretty damn close!
