ECO Plasma Power Plant (PPP) of new generation.

The research staff who continue the research by A.D. Sakharov and L.A. Artsimovich draws your attention to the new aspect of the power plants generating from a twirled plasma blob in vacuum, using metal (aluminium) as fuel .

The complex of plasma power plants (PlasPP), capacity 2500 МW includes:

•Main case;
•Electric department;
•Chemical department;
•Cooling complex;
•Fuel and transport department;
•Maintenance departments (line fault services, garages, accessory technical constructions);
•Warehouse constructions.


General specifications:

Area of landlot under PlasPP makes ~ 1.6 3 km2, depending on design.

The staff makes 1600 persons, but not less than 360 persons + 120 seasonal repairmen.

Access roads the Basic ways, width 4-5м, extent ~ 5 Km; auxiliary access roads, width 3м, extent ~ 5-6 Km; was possible, but using a railway access road is not obligatory.

Cooling water - open recirculation is available, any pollution completely excluded.
Power supply system power line, internal and external, air-type and cable-type, step-up and step-down substations and installations of users of the electric energy, indoor switchgears and other equipment (6-10 kW, 110-220 kW, 330-750 kW (as agreed)).

Installation term coordinated with the main scientific research staff of the project (within the limits of "UNICORN" project).

Distinctive features of PlasPP:
•Environmental safety (absence of any kinds of pollution);
•Low fuel consumption ~ 200 Kg per 1 MW/1 year;
•Low cost of 1 KW-H ~ 0.0001€;
•Short acceleration time achieving maximum power;
•Short turn-off time;
•Durability absence of friction in power-generating unit PlasPP;
•Independence of weather;
•Prospect of independent use of mini-PlasPP for various types of transport sea, railway, air transport and in space technique.

Depending on the chosen way of development building large PlasPP or installing small stations united in a network, here we present some of their features:

•The large complex creates possibility of using platforms of the dismantled atomic power plants, with the personnel of cities-companions already having experience with power engineering, for working at PlasPP, on the whole more economic since the whole industrial power centre is actually recovered in the new ECO format.

•Assembling small PlasPP stations united in a network allows to reduce power load at individual sections and to avoid building high-voltage power lines to enhance independence and flexibility of a system as a whole. A paradigm is electric power generation at its consumption place.

Implementing the "UNICORN" project will allow the company to take a worthy place among the worlds leaders in electric power generation and power-producing stations of new generation.
