  • So simple yet so beautiful! I don't understand a word of it but so much better than any of the English versions available online.

  • älskar låten

  • This is, I must say even more beautiful than the original English version. Beautiful voice, beautiful language and absolutely stunning interpretation. Love it! Thanks for posting.

  • Thanks for the info scottishphotographer. I didn't know any of this, just that in the current Craig Revel Horwood directed UK tour this song is sung by Svetlana.

  • @Jottie11 'Someone Else's Story' was written for the New York production, and the character of Florence. The song was then sung by Svetlana in the concert version at the Royal Albert Hall (presumable to give Kerry Ellis something to do other than the 'I Know Him So Well' duet). Between these two events, 'Inte jag', a very different lyric, was written to the music of 'Someone Else's Story' for the Swedish production and sung by Florence.

  • Wow, this is amazing, i'm currently doing this song in my singing lessons, and this interpretation has really helped me nail down the emotional side of it, her emotions sound so sincere and that's what really gains the sympathy vote, b/c at the end of the day, what the character is doing is wrong, so it takes an incredibly good singer/actress to make the audience feel sorry for her, and she definitely does!

  • Florence doesn't sing this song in the show. Svetlana (the Russian's wife) sings it.

  • @Felicity1247 I had not heard of this website, thank you so much! I have just registered. I am DiscoGareth so I may see you in the forum. Thank you again for directing me to this wonderful site!

  • @discogareth I personally just don't like cat fights in general, even if they work in the context. But you are right--they work in their own contexts. And the different versions are interesting to discuss.
