I bought this filter and valve from Leslies. Its been installed in such a way the outlet you see is lifting 10 feet of pipe filled with water in the air.
Eventually the housing broke and Leslie's is not interested in helping me repair it in the least. They will only schedule a 100$ house call + parts to replace it all at my expense.
If you want something done right, use your neighborhood family owned pool store. Not a nationwide chain that will let anyone willing to install pool equipment for 10$/hr come to your house.
whomever installed it, used too much teflon tape and then cranked the male adapter in too tight. The result is a cracked multi port. Turn off system, Take it apart. remove the said male adapter. remove the teflon tape form the fitting. Apply pvc glue + primer to the adapter + inside of the leaking multiport. Then screw the male adapter with the glue back into the multiport. let cure for 3 hours. If this does not work, then your multi port is ruined and you need a new one. sry :-(

Fix it yourself then. People in general are not interested in helping morons

that is real typical, a customer with a 5+ year old valve that has failed, and he'd blame his own mom if he thought it would get him a new one free of charge. we waste so much time having to deal with people trying to get something for nothing. also, you can see there's a leak in the waste line in the 1st 5 seconds of this video, so probably a bad spider gask as well

The black pipe under the valve has algae growing on it. You see the back to back 90s? There would be blue glue where the joint comes together. And in the other video, you can see grey glue; we don't use that. Why didn't you show us the whole filter? I know...because it's old.

I'm a Leslie's tech and I'm VERY good at what I do. I, for one, would never do a job that looks like that. It is true that we may have some techs that aren't that good at their job. Those techs don't last very long, so don't let that scare you completely away. We also have the best techs in the world and this company will ALWAYS stand by their work. On the other hand, that is not a new install. Look at how dirty that valve is. (cont. in nezt comment)
