african american would imply that they are african immigrants. they are not. To call them that seems almost disrespectful. It ignores the culture and history they built in america. African American sounds like some crap that some nervous patronizing white idiot thought up. Walking around glass on blacks doesn't help, and ends up feeling like racism after a while.

He's an American first and then a black American if you need to description for a crime or something. We don't call White Americans Euro-Americans. Cenk analogy is stupid because he was born in Turkey and then unfortunately moved here

us black people are black american.. i never been to africa before, so how am i african, when the only culture i know is the english culture. why cant i just be called American without a title
