Learn gospel shouting music licks and runs. High praise and gospel chords and shouting music will be taught extensively on this DVD.

Urban Soloing Techniques Volume I is an amazing improvisational soloing DVD for gospel, neo soul, jazz, and R&B styles. You are probably sick of playing the same chords and doing the same few runs and tricks that you find so mundane. Well now you will be able to spice up your playing with an arsenal of solos, licks, tricks, runs, riffs, and "phat" improvisational techniques. Urban Soloing Techniques Volume I is slated for the beginner to intermediate keyboard player. We will teach you the basics of soloing as it relates to scales, grace notes, fingering techniques, and ear training. Most importantly, we are giving you all of the important tools that you can use in today's music, which will keep you contemporary and not "old-school" sounding. Many of the licks and tricks are taken from very popular gospel runs and jazz improvisational riffs that you hear in your favorite jazz and gospel artists. Look no further! This is the DVD you need to FINALLY phatten up your playing and take your chops to a whole other level.

Urban Soloing Techniques Volume II is a continuation to our extraordinary Volume I DVD set and is slated for the intermediate player. We teach in a "shed style" manner in which we go crazy with every riff, lick, trick, we know, but we show you all of the chords and runs. For you gospel players, we spend a whole hour on shouting tricks in Ab to help spice up your shouting playing. For those of you craving for the hottest chops and licks, then this volume II will definitely take your keyboard playing to another level.

  • OK, I'm convinced. You got the goods. I know about tri-tone but never used 'em except in real sloooow blues/jazz after hours. I'm ordering some of your DVD's. Thanks for the clips. Fun to watch.

  • @6noteblues Thanks :)

  • I have a question for all of you, do any of you guys play for a band or have played for someone famous? and if yes, do you have a music degree? I ask because I don't know if a music degree matters when trying to become someone known in the gospel industry

  • @temetito922 None of us have music degrees or read music or know theory. All play by ear.

  • This is a bit off topic but still relevant...when playing the organ, do you use regular progressions you would use on a piano when playing preacher chords? Like 6-2-5-1 and 7-3-6 and so on?
