I came out after my first year of high school, during the summer. I wasn't quite accepted at first. If you are gay or know someone struggling with coming out the best short advice I can give you is come out when your ready.

I told my mom in like 5th grade that I thought I had a crush on a female friend I had had for several years (that was before I was sure about my sexuality) and she was pretty much like "ok" so I was kinda like "that's all? no more to say about it?" Ya know what she said? "honey I'm bi, why would I care?" No one else in the house really mentions it but my mama and I make jokes all the time. =]

Then when my other friend got a boyfriend I started wanting a boyfriend like, really bad and that was a couple months ago, but I'm happy for them, NOT jealous. And my friend who called me a fag said that I was just gonna bother her and try to get them to break up and that that's why I hate her and the douche. I freakin freaked out and yelled at her about it on friday, lol. But she said,"You do, though.". And I'm gonna bitchslap her if she makes another effing bitch-move. lol I'm not violent

Yeah, laaame. lol, but, eventually one of my best friends got a douchebag boyfriend and she was obsessed with "keeping" him and still is. I thought I could trust her, but then we got in a fight and started talking again... She started calling me a fag behing my back and when I found out she said I was still a fag.

Wow your hot. I'm glad I'm a gay kid. To me it feels right. especially at my age which is 13. Coming out to family is probably tougher than coming out to friends. I just told my best friend I am gay. He accepted, because he has known me since 2nd grade. He's the only friend I told. It might be tougher than telling it other people that are just friends. They don't know me quite as well.
