  • Beautiful playing...I think its between you and Guo Yazhi playing the Guanzi....simply marvelous. Erhu is such an expressive instrument...and a perfect sonic match to this piece. Very nice!! :o)

  • And you do not build them yourself...this looks like its rosewood. Usually the sound box is covered in a python skin. The bow has horse hair.

  • Erhu means two strings. They are a part of the Chinese "violin" family. The bow is laced between the two strings and pressure in not only place on the string while pulling but forwards and backwards depending on the string you desire. The strings are, if I remember correctly from when I was a kids, tuned to D and A.
