Though the film is black-and-white, it doesn't spoil the film any. Side-splitting and a real pleasure to watch the actors play.

I remember watching a different film version of this short story in school. It was in color and with American actors. (However it was NOT the one with Christopher Loyd playing Sam.) And unfortunetly, I can't find it anywhere on youtube.
