  • Heads up to everyone about the double pedal thing..

I'm 99% sure that this program automatically splits the bass patterns up between the two bass drums. IE: RLRLRLRLRLRL

  • @PrestonWarfield You are right! But that is what I don't like about it!

  • I have a feeling that Danny could play the main bass drum part with just one foot. I can understand using two different bass drums to let each one resonate to its fullest but there are times when he's playing a groove like this & opening the hi-hat here & there which would require his left foot to be on the hi-hat pedal. I don't think he's using 2 different kick drum pedals to play the main beat that's in the verses. I could be wrong but I really don't think so.

  • @drewper73 to play open hi-hats and double bass you need to keep toes on hi hat and play the left bass pedal with the heel. Daney has both two basse drums and double pedal on his drum set

  • woow esta algo complicado el bombo cuando el hithat va marcando en semifusas ,ai es cuando esta perro el BOMBO!!!

  • @drummerbadass1 Mentally slow? Sure. Check out Tomas Haake live.. song doesn't matter.

  • This is missing bass notes in the intro. Danny plays 8th note hihats, not 16ths. Just saying.. didn't really listen to it after 1:00.

  • @isakovtolkin I think he has special hardware that allows him to close/open his hatts easily. Sorta like the Iron Cobra hihat stand that has the little side pedal that operates a drop clutch

  • @drewper73 He is def using the hihat pedal thru almost all of it. And yes if im not mistaken he plays almost all of it on his right kick. However...Danny is one of those rare double kick players who is capable of incredibly great triplets and more on just 1 pedal...so..he only utilizes the other kick when he is really thrashing out the fast stuff. Yall should watch some of his drum clinic vids. Also he is just fast enough that he can use his left kick and quikly switch to the hat pedal.

  • @drummerbadass1 But I will agree with you on the cymbal differentiation. Must've been whatever setup Haake was using at the time?

  • @drummerbadass1 You're critiquing a VST which is playing a midi file... Though, in a roundabout way you're also criticizing Tomas Haake.

Also (for those wondering), the L & R bass alternation is just a visual thing when you have EZ Drummer: Metalheads open. It doesn't really represent what the program necessarily does while playing the midi. It's going to be shown as double bass alternation in whatever you write and/or play. You can adjust the panning so it'll keep center as well.

  • its like a bad dream

  • Too many odf the same type/size cymbals. The drummer must be slow mentally.
