@europe0wnz Clearly you lack an understanding of the discussion. We are talking about the W123 series 300D, OM617.95. I know it will get 40mpg, I've done it, but only under specific conditions. There is no physically possible way it can AVERAGE 40mpg consistently if ANY amount of city driving, idling or speeds above 45mph are seen.
The 92 and 87 you list are COMPLETELY different vehicles that share NOTHING with the W123 being discussed.

@europe0wnz Correct, you don't know anything about them.

poor mercedes you dont know how desirable that chassis is

I hate fucking noobs like you that uses fucking veggie oil for their cars, fuck off!
-
Typically, vegetable oil is heated by the engine. Coolant lines run from the engine - into or around the veggie tank to get it to temperature before it goes into the engine.
-
Do you have to heat the veggie oil?
-
why are you all hating on him it says Bio-Fuel pickup truck so who cars if it gets 40mpg it will run on like French fry oil.. which is free

@Turbo617 dude, i have 2 more cylinders then that thing and i get 35mpg. i average 32-35 in the city and any where i drive. i know what a mercedes diesel can do, whether it be a w123 or a w124
u shouldnt waist the chevy v8 put it in the mercedese. that benz looks like a 69-early70 300se i put a 76 corvette v8 in my 68 280se and really turned out to be a fun car. the free rear on the benz is a little weak for the chvy torque and the aulternater and power steering pump need new brackets.... u should try it out.

@therealvanilla
The truck has the 4-cylinder 2.2 liter engine - not a V8

You won't get 40mpg.
Turbo617 2 years ago
I'll take that as a challenge.
