Esmeralda, a lost fire spirit, finds herself in the arctic and begins having fun, melting and destroying. She spies Denahi, and, instantly taken by him, follows him, until she is able to wipe his mind of all fear of her. A couple now, he takes her back to his tribe, but she begins to long for her spirit form again, and has grown weary of his now warmer persona. Deciding upon a drastic course of action, she murders one of his tribe members, and then turns her anger upon Denahi.

Melting sea ice = starving creatures.
Melting glaciers = no fresh water for the people that depend upon them.
And rising sea levels. etc.
