Alan McGee & James Allan Interview 11-07-06

Alan McGee, never a man known to keep his opinions to himself, took the opportunity recently to tell us about Glasvegas, a band that he claims are "the best Glasgow band I've seen for 20 years". Either he hasn't been to many gigs or he really thinks these guys are special (we're thinking the latter). To hear him defining what's so great about them, watch the video above. He also happened to have James, the lead singer of Glasvegas, at his side as he spoke, and to hear what James had to say about their influences and thoughts on other Glasgow bands, watch the videos!

Saw 'em in Minneapolis at the Varsity. LOVED 'EM! I bought the CD at the show, for better sound quality, and found I love them even more. :) The disc is on heavy rotation in my car. It's rockin' music but I think it's extremely soulful at the same time.

I wish them well deserved luck.
