Here is 're-visitation' of a classic Steve & Garry bit, prank calling Iran, that they did in 1979 during the Iran Hostage Crisis. The boys decide to celebrate the anniversary of what some people considered "their greatest bit" by once again calling Iran 10 years later in 1989. This piece, much like the original, is extremely politically incorrect, especially by today's standards, and if rife with stereotypes and slurs, but shouldn't be taken too seriously as it was just an effort to mess with someone in an 'enemy' country, and of course the usual just being mean for the sake of being funny (some Steve Dahl does quite well!) This happened just after the death of Ayatollah Khomeini, who died on June 3 of 1989. After the series of original calls in 1979 Steve & Garry and station management was actually contacted by the US State Department and told to stop because they didn't want to worsen the situation (too funny, Steve Dahl causing international hate and discontent!)
