News Conference on SB66 - Part I

Jon Blair of Equality Virginia introduces a news conference about Senate Bill 66, patroned by state Senator Donald McEachin (D-9), which would add "sexual orientation" as a protected category in state employment. Governor Bob McDonnell (R) has stated that employment protections must be written into law by the General Assembly before the Governor or state government agencies can apply them. SB66 meets this demand. Other speakers in this segment include Viola Baskerville, former Member of the House of Delegates and former Secretary of Administration for the Commonwealth of Virginia; Glen Pond of the Virginia Governmental Employees Association; and Patricia W.
