I personally like this version more. It focuses on the main story, the thneed factory. The newer version mainly focuses on the forest (slow) then BANG! giant thneed factory. Also all the animals leave at the same time.

It also doesnt make sense how only the Oncler's family is needed. This one also incudes hiring lots of workers. I also prefer the Oncler as an older adult.

Finally, this version in my opinion has better music.

Just my opinion.

I think that there is enough room in the world for both the new and old versions of this and the virtues we can collect from each. The old is a wake-up call, the new reminds us that we have a choice to change the world if we are brave enough to do it.
