Violet spinning fiber on a fully functional glass spinning wheel. The wheel is a kinetic sculpture made from hand-blown and hot-sculpted soft glass.

I am a lover of scientific glassware, Geissler tubes, crosses of fine art and functionality in glass. This piece is unbelievable! The glassblower, Mr. Paiko, seems almost magical in his ability... This looks like a scene from some sort of fairy tale dream.
