Pakistans Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani is to solicit Sri Lankas support to crackdown on terrorists in his country.
The Prime Minister made this reference in a message released to mark the countrys 62nd National Day. Sri Lanka had succeeded in routing the worlds deadliest terrorism. Pointing out that the Sri Lankan Government had succeeded in its programme, the Pakistani Prime Minister expressed his desire to seek Sri Lankas support in suppressing terrorism and armed groups.

The message was read at celebrations organised at the Pakistans High Commission in Colombo. The ceremony commenced with religious observances. Pakistans High Commissioner in Sri Lanka Shaheen A. Gilani and many Pakistanis in Sri Lanka were present.
