@Questfortruth86 So glad I caught up with you, you ever going to reply to that long list of mainstream economists that correctly predicted the crash?
-
You're confused, my friend. The mainstream in the nineteen teen's is very different from the mainstream that emerged in the 20s, 30s, and 40s. The Austrian's were part of the mainstream up until the socialist calculation debates in the 20s, and they really became a heterodox school of thought during the Keynesian revolution. The Austrian school is still a heterodox school of thought today.

Mises and Hayek considered themselves to be mainstream economists, and they were. He should stick to substance, instead of broad and general attacks. This is a debate, not a stand-up comedy act.

@Questfortruth86. kidding?! Hayek wrote many articles against mainstream econ, and even termed the word "scientism" to describe it. At Chicago, he was never part of the economics faculty because of his methodology.
Mises rejected positivism in favor of "praxeology", and refused to use even graphs like supply and demand curves.
Either read a textbook from them (assuming you understand neo-classical econ), or at least check an interview like this one: vimeo(dot)com/4063439
